PowerGLF is a powerful Excel add-in that allows the planner to perform load forecasting from within a spreadsheet environment.

Electrical load forecasting forms part of network expansion planning and is a crucial input to obtain an optimal long-term development plan. Geographically based load forecasting (GLF) is regarded as the most suitable method where land-use forecasts are used to establish long term electrical load.

PowerGLF was developed by NETGroup and is used extensively in house and by our clients locally and abroad.

PowerGLF forms part of a range of software developed and being refined by NETGroup to complement electrical engineering functions in the Power System Industry.

PowerGLF installs and upgrades easily and creates its own toolbar in Excel. If you use PowerGLF in a commercial organization you are allowed to try it for 30 days, whereafter a license must be purchased.

Installation is as easy as to follow the steps presented to you when you run the PowerGLF setup.exe file.

During the setup you can specify the location where you want to install the files. PowerGLF does not require your computer to restart at the end of the installation. When launching the application for the first time the user will be required to register the application and activating the PowerGLF toolbar.
